Your owner’s manual is the plan
The engineers who designed your vehicle set its service intervals. Those intervals vary a great deal: many modern engines on synthetic oil go 5,000 to 10,000 miles between oil services, and the old 3,000-mile rule no longer applies to most vehicles. We look up the schedule for your exact year, make, model and engine.
What maintenance includes
- Engine oil and filter service with the oil grade your engine specifies
- Engine and cabin air filters
- Coolant, brake fluid and transmission fluid service at the specified intervals
- Spark plugs, belts and hoses
- Tire rotation, tire pressure and tread checks
- Battery testing
- Wiper blades and exterior lights
The 70-Point Vehicle Inspection
Our 70-Point Vehicle Inspection gives you an overview of your vehicle’s mechanical, electrical and fluid systems. You get a prioritized list: items that need attention for safety, items due at or before the next service, and recommended preventive maintenance. It helps you plan and avoid surprises.
Maintenance and your new-vehicle warranty
You are not required to have maintenance done at a dealership to keep a manufacturer’s warranty in effect. Keep your records. We document every service, and as a CARFAX Car Care Service Center our work can be reported to your vehicle’s service history.
Driving near the coast
Short trips, stop-and-go traffic on Beach Boulevard and salt air all count as harder use than steady highway miles. If most of your driving is local, your manufacturer’s severe-service schedule may be the right one to follow. We will help you tell which applies.
